Benjamin Batinge is a senior researcher in DNV’s Energy Transition Programme. His expertise includes modelling energy transition, electricity access, and innovation adoption. He holds a PhD in Public and Development Management from Stellenbosch University and a Master’s degree in System Dynamics from the University of Bergen. Before joining DNV, he worked as a research fellow at Stellenbosch University, with a focus on modelling innovation and energy security in South Africa. Benjamin has published research papers in academic journals and authored a series of conference papers. His current work examines the socioeconomic drivers and pathways to clean energy economy.
