Svein Inge Leirgulen has been appointed as the new Head of Media Relations for DNV GL Group, starting April 7th. Svein Inge is currently the Head of Media Relations in DNV GL – Oil & Gas and will take over the role from Tore Høifødt, who is entering retirement at the end of June.

Please join me in congratulating Svein Inge on his new role. At the same time, we thank Tore Høifødt for his accomplishments as the Group’s current Head of Media Relations, his project leadership of the 150th anniversary celebrations last year, and his 27 years of leadership and service to the company.”
Svein Inge studied business and communications in both Norway and USA and holds a Bachelor of Science. He has worked with public relations, e-marketing and journalism, and has founded and run a number of companies within technology and communications. Svein Inge has been with DNV GL for 10 years.
“I am really excited to head the DNV GL Group’s media relations,” says Svein Inge. “We have already experienced a paradigm shift from traditional media to digital and social-based media channels. This change of power balance has increased the complexity significantly, and it requires us to manage our own reputational risk with care. At the same time, we must grasp the opportunities it brings quicker and better than our competitors and competing voices,” he points out.
