Dr. Andrew Garrad, founder of renewables consultancy Garrad Hassan (now part of DNV GL), has recently been awarded the AIOLOS award in recognition of his career-long services to the development of wind energy.
The award is presented every two years by the Hellenic Wind Energy Association, with previous winners including notable industry figures such as Arthouros Zervos (former EWEA President). Dr Andrew Garrad is the first non-Greek to receive the award. Dr. Ioannis Tsipouridis, Chairman of Board and CEO of the Hellenic Wind Energy Association, accepted the prestigious award on behalf of Dr. Garrad who was unable to attend due to the opening events of Bristol European Green Capital 2015, of which he is Executive Chairman.Garrad Hassan founder honoured by Greek wind industry
