YIANNIS was designed with improved hull performance, enhanced redundancy features and the highest classification towards environmental protection. It has a capacity of up to 174,000 cubic metres, along with duel-fuel engines (ME-GI) and a full re-liquefaction system (FRS). It is equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR), for four main diesel generator engines, and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), for two main engines, to comply with requirements in the NOx Technical Code and MARPOL ANNEX VI.
