Wind Turbine Power Performance IEC 61400-12-1

Your turbines are operating. Do you still need to measure the wind?

Training course covering power performance measurements according to the international guidelines IEC 61400-12-1 and IEC 61400-50-3

Date: Tuesday, March 22 - Thursday March 24; Add-on Course: Wednesday, March 30

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm ET

Price (USD)
Full 3-Day Course$1,200.00
Additional Half Day Course Add-on$500.00

About the full 3-day course

This three day course allows attendees to benefit from DNV’s extensive experience in power curve measurements according to the international guideline IEC 61400-12-1.

Expectations for power curve verification are defined and negotiated before financial close of a project in order to minimize the power performance risk.  On completion, delegates should understand the key changes and risks associated with implementation of IEC 61400-12-1. Further, we will share experiences with the application of the new methods and uncertainty recommendations to provide a better starting point to conduct a test or to negotiate the content of a power curve warranty.

Who should attend?

Developers, wind turbine OEMs, operators, lenders and other professionals involved in prototype development or power curve warranty negotiation and execution.

About the nacelle lidar half day course add-on

This half-day course allows attendees to benefit from DNV’s experience in calibration and application of nacelle lidar systems for power curve measurements according to the imminent international guideline IEC 61400-50-3. Attendees will get an overview of the Standard, and a deeper understanding of the calibration requirements, uncertainty estimation, and deployment techniques for using nacelle lidar. The course will cover applications both offshore and onshore including case studies comparing nacelle lidar with met mast and ground based lidar measurements.
