DNV and ENTSO-E recently announced that DNV will provide the role of Assessment Body for ENTSO-E Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) Conformity Assessment Scheme (CAS) version V3.0 as part of conformity testing services. The DNV independent IEC CIM testing service, accredited by ENTSO-E, offering CGMES self-assessment and Conformance Testing assures the conformity assessment of power system applications supporting Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) – IEC 61970-600 series.
The European Network Code require TSOs, with the support of DSOs and Significant Grid Users (SGU), to exchange Individual Grid Model (IGM) that would be merged into Common Grid Model (CGM) that would be use by the Regional Security Coordinators (RSC) to provide a range of services to the TSOs. To ensure an effective and efficient exchange of data using the CGMES, all relevant applications shall be conforming the IEC 61970-600 series. This is done by the application passes the CGMES Conformity Assessment Scheme (CAS).
CGMES Conformance testing enables the smooth data exchange between Smart Grid operating and planning systems from different vendors, thereby supporting the utilities business processes to accelerate the energy transition.
DNV with the support of ENTSO-E Common Information Model Expert Group (CIM EG) are hosting a webinar series on 24 and 31 January from 15:00 – 16:00 CET, to introduce you to the new CAS v3.0 that addresses CGMES v3.0 (IEC 61970-600-1:2021 and IEC 61970-600-2:2021) conformity testing services.
The CGMES Conformity Assessment Scheme (CAS) v3.0 documentation, Test Configuration, CGMES v3.0 Application Profile and link to IEC standard document can be found on the ENTSO-E website: CIM Conformity and Interoperability (entsoe.eu)
