Andreas Wagner works as CEO of Stiftung OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE since 2008. He heads the Berlin office of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation since 2013. In this function, he’s been involved in several national and EU funded projects, dealing with various aspects of offshore wind development in Germany and Europe.
Andreas has a strong expertise in public and regulatory affairs, and on legal framework with regards to offshore wind and renewable energy. For many years, he’s been an active member of WindEurope’s WG Offshore Industry.
Before joining the Stiftung, Andreas held various positions in European marketing and communications, public affairs and business development, with GE Wind Energy in Germany. He served as a board member and VP of EWEA during the early 2000s. In the late 1990s, he worked for the German wind energy association BWE as a consultant on European Affairs, and for FGW as managing director. From 1993-1997, he served as sientific assistant of Dr. Hermann Scheer, MP in the German Bundestag, with a major focus on renewable energy development.
Andreas holds a degree of political science from the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
