Biorisk+assessment+course

This two day course introduces risk management principles and approaches. It supports organisations looking to implement CWA 15793:2008 Laboratory Biorisk Management Standard. Participants will be exposed to a variety of risk assessment methodologies and approaches, with the opportunity to put them into practice a simulated risk assessment sessions. Software tools and practical supporting materials will also be demonstrated.

During this course the participants will be introduced to risk management principles and practical risk assessment methodologies for use in laboratory environments.

Course description
This two day course addresses the risk management in line with the CWA 15793:2008 Laboratory Biorisk Management Standard. It is designed to be highly informative and interactive where participants will be exposed to a variety of risk assessment methodologies and also have an opportunity to put these into practice in a simulated risk assessment session.

Learning objective
Upon completion of the course, participants will understand:

• Different methodologies and tools used to perform biorisk assessment

Pre-requisite
It is recommended that participants have a basic understanding of facility technical systems, the operation of the laboratory and an understanding of CWA 15793 Laboratory Biorisk Management standard.
