The new DNV-RP-F109 standard considers the various factors in the seabed environment that affect pipelines, and provides design criteria that applies in order to maximize pipeline stability.
Course description
The recommended practice DNV-RP-F190 considers various factors regarding hydrodynamic environment and seabed conditions affecting pipeline stability and provides design criteria that applies in order to ensure lateral and vertical stability. This course gives a thorough introduction to this recommended practice and how to perform on-bottom stability design of submarine pipelines.
Learning objective
- Increased understanding of aspects related to on-bottom stability
- Be able to perform on-bottom stability design.
Pre-requisite
Participants are encouraged to attend the Pipeline overview course prior to this course.
Target group
Engineers that will perform on-bottom stability design of submarine pipelines.
