DNV - _Course OO & UML Essentials

The Purpose of this course is to lay the foundation for a better understanding of the principles of Object Orientation and what it means for system development. Also, attention will be given to the Unified Modelling Language (UML), its notation and use. We will illustrate both Object Orientation and UML with the help of practical examples.

The use of the concepts for your organisation
The basic concepts of OO
The basic principles of UML
The notation- presentation of UML diagrams
The relationship between the various UML diagrams

Target audience
This 1 day course is meant for anyone with a role in software development and who wishes to have more insight in the consequences of working with OO and UML. Apart from developers, this course is also very much aimed at project managers, sales or clients of development projects. For developers it is the basis of future courses that are more in-depth, such as Business & Requirements Modeling, System Analysis and System Design, or the Masterclass Requirements Engineering.
