This Masterclass investigates and explains issues around development of software, such as late delivery with too many mistakes, the causes and possible solutions, and offers knowledge of new methods and techniques for quality management in IT.
Programme
We will start bottom-up at code level and work our way through various perspectives on quality of software. In 5 days we will:
- Discuss quality of software at the level of code and design, clients, development processes and architecture
- Look at the typical risks, the challenges and their solutions
- Go into testing, ISO9001 and CMM-I as a means to reach a certain level of quality
- Go into new developments and approaches that are often given too little attention: specification of product quality, securing quality at an architectural level, agile development and process design on the basis of product requirements
- Gain insight into the specific issues that play in quality of software in the broad sense of the word
- Recognize the various types of quality problems and the possible solutions
- Get familiar with the tools and methods for improvement in quality of software
- Be able to make an informed choice among the available techniques that are suitable in your situation
