During the two day course Business Intelligence Essentials we will give you an overview of the basic principles of Business Intelligence (BI): determining BI-demand, gathering and analysing information and feedback of results in organisational processes.

We will discuss the link to business issues, the creation of an effective BI-organisation, the underlying IT-architecture, and technical and organisational implementation.

Business Intelligence: Introduction & Implementation (day 1)
  • BI: from strategic instrument to practical application
  • Applications: Performance Management, CRM, Competitive Intelligence
  • Lasting organisation of BI projects/programmes with the help of the BI cycle: gathering, analysing, implementing
  • Workshop 'BI cycle' or 'BI Navigator'
Business Intelligence: Organisation & Architecture (day 2)

  • Organisation and management: roles, responsibilities and competencies
  • The BI competence centre, outsourcing and shared services for BI
  • Architecture of BI: standardisation as basis for success
  • Workshop organising of BI
  • The importance of information analyses and data modeling
