COURSE: Sesam modelling and analysis (Patran-Pre)

This 3 day course introduces the participants to Patran-Pre as the finite element modeller in Sesam. Furthermore, interaction with the analysis program Sestra and the postprocessor Xtract is covered. The course consists of lectures and practical exercises.

Topics covered are:

• Introduction to Sesam
• Finite element modelling – basic features (Patran-Pre)
• Linear static structural analysis (Sestra)
• Results presentation - basic features (Xtract)
• Steps necessary to do a superelement analysis

Prerequisite:
No previous experience in the use of Sesam is required. However, basic knowledge in FE analysis is recommended.
