COURSE: Hydrodynamic analysis of offshore structures (Wadam)

This 2 day course introduces the participants to the Sesam programs for wave load analysis. The course consists of lectures and practical excercises. The focus is on program use rather than theory.

The course covers hydrodynamic analysis of fixed and floating structures with zero forward speed (Wadam) plus the corresponding statistical postprocessing of frequency domain results (Postresp). Focus is also on graphic modelling of the hydrodynamic data (HydroD). Advanced graphical visualisation of analysis results is also covered (animation features of Xtract).

• Global hydrodynamic response analysis
• Load transfer to structural analysis
• Presentation of results
• Short and long term statistical computation and animation of results

Prerequisite:
Some knowledge in hydrodynamic analysis and basic knowledge in Sesam is required.
