Description
This course focuses on using HydroD for hydrostatic analysis and stability checking. Furthermore, hydrodynamic analysis in the frequency domain by use of HydroD including Wadam is covered. Calculation of a short and long term statistics using Postresp is covered as well.

Learning objectives
The participant will learn how to perform hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analysis reguired for ships and FPSOs.

Target group
Hydrodynamic and structural engineers working with design of FPSO.

Prerequisite
It is required that the participants are familiar with hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analysis. Since this course does not cover the creation of models used in hydrostatic or hydrodynamic analysis it is beneficial if the participants have knowledge in GeniE, as covered in either of the courses SE-01 Concept based FE modelling and analysis using GeniE - Introductory, SE-03 Hull modelling for hydrodynamic analysis - Introductory or SE-04 Concept based FE modelling of shell structures - Advanced.
