COURSE: Mooring, riser and coupled motion analysis using DeepC
This 3 day course introduces the participants to the new integrated tool for carrying out both coupled floater motion analysis and analysis of individual lines in time domain. The course consists of lectures and practical exercises. In addition, the participants will learn how DeepC interacts with other Sesam program modules like HydroD.
Topics covered are:
- Introduction to non-linear time domain analysis
- Overview of the integrated system (modelling, analysis and postprocessing)
- Concept modelling of riser/mooring system and vessels
- Environmental load modelling
- Coupled analysis
- Analysis of individual lines based on floater RAOs or time series from file
- Seamless interaction with HydroD, Simo, Riflex
- Static configuration of vessel/mooring system
- Post processing of time series results
- Fatigue analysis of risers and mooring lines
Prerequisite:
No previous experience in use of Sesam is required. However, some basic knowledge in non-linear FE analysis and floater position keeping analysis is required.
