Description
This course is an introduction to the concepts and models within Neptune. The course will teach users how to link models and setup the dataflow. It will cover the basics of risk modelling within the software including consequences of a release, event trees and leak frequencies as well as some offshore specific topics. It will also cover the use of MS -Excel as a model and how to structure projects through use of loops and substudies. During the course, students will be required to practise and apply their new knowledge of the software through extensive hands-on workshops.
Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will understand and be able to use the theoretical and practical aspects of Neptune. It will enable them to construct simple projects in Neptune and also to collaborate on more complex ones - it will not however make them a Neptune expert.
Target group:
This course is suitable for those who need to carry out risk analysis calculations in the offshore process industries: regulatory authorities, insurance industry, engineering contractors and consultants.
| Prerequisite This course is suitable for new users and for those more experienced users who have not attended a formal training course or would like a refresher course. Please note, this is only available as part of a broader package of software and services. Participants should preferably have some basic knowledge of Offshore QRA concepts before attending. |
