In order to improve quality and efficiency of their design work, Havyard Design & Engineering AS started to use GeniE software as the main finite element calculation tool in May 2010.
Havyard designers are now able to optimize design even more with regard to weight and strength of hull structures. “We have used GeniE for all our newbuilds since May last year, and we have seen the advantages,” says Jan Ove Hovdenakk, Manager, Detail Engineering Hull of Havyard Design & Engineering. “We have many programs in use, so the ability to import models from other CAD programs is important for us,” he says. “We’re also happy with the quick response time we get from support.”
