DNV Software is pleased to announce that Phast 6.54 has undergone extensive beta testing over the summer and will be released in November.
DNV has a long history of assessing organisations and maintaining records of the assessments. Whether ship classification, ISO standard certification, or assessment against one of DNV’s many management system standards, we have extensive experience of managing assessments and the associated findings and anagement system activities which occur around this activity.
DNV has a wide variety of management system assessment protocols, which are used to implement standards in a diverse range of industries. Within the sectors of energy, chemicals, food, healthcare, rail transport, biotechnology, and the maritime industry, amongst others, DNV has written and continues to manage standards supporting effective management of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality aspects of an organisation’s activities.
For ten years, DNV has used its Summit software for performing and reporting on management system assessments. This tool has recently been ported to a new Internet platform using Microsoft’s SmartClient technology under the name of Summit 2.0.
The Summit 2.0 platform allows organisations to read and helps them understand the requirements of their chosen management system protocol in order to implement the standard. Then it assesses the effectiveness of the implementation to measure the performance of a business against the standard. The findings of the assessment may be analysed and reported on for effective action creation and follow up. This process supports the continuous improvement loop and assists an organisation in achieving its goals and identifying and dealing with issues before, during and after it has improved its overall organisational performance.
The first management system supported by Summit 2.0 is the International Safety Rating System. More information about this rating system can be found at the isrs7 website.
