The use of software will be fundamental to the achievement of a safe and suistainable future. Despite the promising technological developments on cleaner and renewable energy, traditional sources of energy such as oil, gas and coal will continue to dominate the energy picture in the coming years. DNV Software creates and maintains tools for the design and maintenance of assets in the maritime, offshore and process industries.
Software tools have no value unless they have users. When users strive to create safe and more environmentally friendly designs that maintain their assets, they can rely on DNV Software's products and solutions. Nauticus, Sesam and Safeti are all designed to help you safeguard life, property, and the environment. The Environmental Performance System (EPS) described in this issue, is one example of how we listen to market requirements when designing new software. Together we can build a safe and sustainable future for the coming generations.
The season for user conferences has begun, and in DNV Software we look forward to this every year. We appreciate that so many of you are able to attend these conferences. Thank you for using the time to give us valuable feedback and for sharing knowledge. This April, we held user conferences in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur for the first time. This turned out to be successful, and we plan to repeat the success next year. The DNV Software Conference at Høvik is coming up 11-12 June, where DNV's CEO Henrik O. Madsen will make a keynote. Please check our website for an update on user conferences, training courses and exhibitions.
