Three-day symposium and exhibition, and one-day workshops - University of Manchester, UK 14-17 April 2008

DNV Software is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring the Hazards XX Symposium in Manchester in April 2008. We would like to invite you to come along and visit us at the associated exhibition.

The theme of the symposium is that if we are to maintain the high levels of safety we enjoy in the chemical and process industries, we need to make the best use of our current knowledge and avoid complacency. Additionally, we must apply that knowledge to emerging industries and in emerging economies. We must ensure that lessons learned in old industries are applied to the new.

Similarly, as technology is transferred to emerging economies, we should make sure that the knowledge of how to use the technology safely is also transferred. Equally, we must ensure that we maintain our competencies and standards in the old industries so that familiarity does not breed disaster.
