The International Symposium on Deepwater Technology in Harbin, China in April provided an excellent opportunity to present our Sesam DeepC software to the Chinese offshore industry.

We are not only delivering state-of-the-art software itself, but also technology and engineering experience from more than forty years developing quality software.

The symposium had a successful launch, with approximately 100 delegates ranging from specialists and professors from more than ten countries, engineers from the Chinese maritime and offshore industry, and about 100 students from Harbin Engineering University.

DNV Software took this opportunity to profile Sesam DeepC to the Chinese market. A paper entitled ‘Deepwater exploration – facing new computational challenges’ was presented by Dr Ole Christian Astrup of DNV Software in Korea. Another highlight was the speech entitled ‘Deepwater systems – Global Response Analysis’ given by Dr Zhang Zhi Ping, of DNV Software’s Shanghai office. The symposium contributed to share deepwater technology and knowledge in the fastgrowing Chinese offshore industry.
