With the acquisition of proNavis, DNV Software is now the exclusive distributor of TenderSuiteTM – a customised software solution for the maritime industry, supporting the tendering process.
Investing in an efficient specification development and cost calculation tool could be crucial for winning tendering
competitions and reducing project costs and risk. TenderSuite is a web-based tool designed for efficient support of the tendering phases for project-centric industries.
The aim is to provide improved support from the time a request for tender is received, through the bid preparation process and until a final tender (build or contractual specification, including prices) is submitted. TenderSuite will reduce time and efforts spent during build specification and calculation development, while increasing quality and reducing risk.
The basic idea is that all sales projects are created either as a copy of an earlier project, or based upon a template dependent on project type. All data is stored in a database with reference to the breakdown structure of a project, and documents or worksheets may be extracted on demand. All projects are available in one place, containing a set of parameters making them searchable. This enables easy access to structured information across projects.
Accumulated company experience from earlier projects is available for each item in the breakdown structure of a project. Thus, users no longer have to search for old documents in often poorly structured folders. TenderSuite also enables companies to create and maintain templates of typical project categories, minimising the risk of errors being copied from project to project.
TenderSuite is a multi-user application intended for internal use in a company, but also with the possibility to give rolebased access to external customers or suppliers. The multi-user functionality enables users to work on their respective parts of a project, while always having access to the latest version of the project as a whole.
Why TenderSuite?
Collaboration: One application, one database – many users, many locations.
Concurrency: Concurrent work, instantaneous updates on the same project (or document).
Distribution: Online access across geographical and organisational borders.
Quality: From copying of old projects to template configuration and information reuse.
Efficiency: Search and complete access to structured information across projects.
