Another successful year for DNV Software’s established products has seen Sesam gaining market shares and leading the way in the offshore industry. The increased demand for Sesam in 2005 is very encouraging and shows we are doing ‘the right thing’.
A major milestone for the next release of Sesam in January 2006, is the introduction of Brix Explorer as a replacement to the current Sesasm Manager. This leading-edge technology will enable you to create your own customised workflows integrating your own best engineering practice into the Sesam environment. Our goal in DNV Software is to enable you to obtain maximum productivity in the design and analysis of offshore structures when using Sesam.
Throughout 2005, we have been able to involve our customers in many successful user meetings around the world. We would like to thank you for this valuable contribution to marketdriven development. These meetings are a key communication channel with the market, the forum for receiving feedback from you that we are able to absorb and take action upon for future releases.
On 14 December 2005, the IACS Council announced that the Common Structural Rules for Tankers and Bulk Carriers were unanimously adopted for implementation on 1 April 2006. DNV Software is enhancing the Nauticus
Hull software to support these rules. We have also been very active delivering solutions to a number of customers worldwide. The Brix framework is a key technology in all our solutions, and we are very pleased with the positive feedback from our customers when this technology has been used as the basis for a solution.
