A successful course in the use of Sesam basic and Nauticus Hull for finite element analysis was held in Shanghai, China from 11 to 15 April. This is the first course to be held in the DNV Software Shanghai office.

Approximately 30 participants from major shipyards and design companies based in Shanghai, Dalian and Guangzhou attended the training course.

The in-house training involving the use of Patran Pre, Presel, Sestra, Xtract, Submod and Nauticus Modeller was conducted by Christian Glørstad, application and support manager for North East Asia. During the course, a presentation describing DNV Software’s full range of products and services available to the marine, offshore, and process industries in China was given by Øystein Goksøyr, DNV Software’s Regional Manager for Greater China.
