"The excellent technical support and training given from DNV Software in Pusan, Korea and Oslo, Norway are very helpful in building the relationship with China National Oil Offshore Company (CNOOC) and the Marine Design & Research Institute of China (MARIC)," says Øystein Goksøyr, Regional Manager DNV Software Greater China.

He continues, “CNOOC and MARIC are key customers for DNV Software. Their current and planned investments in Sesam, Nauticus and Risk Management Software are very promising for future solution sales.”

CNOOC in Beijing
As a follow-up of a new contract with CNOOC, a one-week training course in Sesam was arranged at their offices in Beijing in January. The training covered basic Finite Element analysis and Wave Load analysis, and was attended by some ten persons from CNOOC Research Centre and their Engineering department.

A following course for training in Transportation Analysis and Mooring & Coupled Analysis (DeepC) were arranged at CNOOC in March. 15 persons from CNOOC participated together with six professors and students from the Chinese Academy of Science.

MARIC in Shanghai
A one-week open training course in Sesam was arranged at the offices of MARIC, in Shanghai in January.

The training covered basic Finite Element analysis and Wave Load analysis, and was attended by some ten persons from MARIC, together with a teacher from the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology in Shanghai and a student from Seoul National University, Korea.
