As part of our on-going focus on market activities, DNV Software has re-organised its operation for improved customer service in the maritime, offshore and process industries.

We are determined to shape our business to meet the needs of our customers. We have created this new market-focused organisation by devolving responsibility to our regional managers who will be able to provide a more tailored service for our existing customers and be better placed to attract new customers. They will manage our assets more effectively, and their specialised knowledge of local markets will enable them to better identify opportunities and needs at an earlier stage.
DNV Software’s core business is based on the licensed software products we deliver to our customers. We will still
focus on delivering high-quality software products, but will increase our effort to provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs. These solutions are and will be developed based on our common BRIX framework.
The new sales organisation is divided into four regions, with regional managers offering all software products and solutions in their region. We believe in local presence, and have strengthened this by establishing strong regional offices. Each region has a team of sales executives who are highly skilled in their profession. This new structure takes each team closer to its customers at a local level allowing them greater flexibility to meet the business needs and to customise products and solutions in these very different markets.

Capturing information and learning from the regional offices and local markets is essential to ensure our product
development and solution offerings are market driven. Cross-regional opportunities are captured through good ooperation between the regions.
A key resource in supporting the regional sales force with product knowledge is the Global Product Management
team, headed by Nic Cavanagh. They are the main link between sales and product development, and ensure new development is based on customer need.
We are very proud of our technical support team who strive to help customers around the world. Including technical support as part of the global sales organisation was an important choice to ensure we learn from support when making enhancements in our software products. Global Technical Support is headed by Ingrid Cornic.
Our marketing services team, headed by Myrth Garvik, works hard to make sure we maintain and improve the DNV Software brand. Her team is responsible for www.dnvsoftware.com, and marketing and profiling material.
