I am honoured to join DNV Software as Director of Global Sales and Marketing in January 2005. This is my first position in DNV, and I enjoy a steep learning curve in this professional organisation. I have already met some of our great customers, and I am impressed by what you have achieved supported by our products and solutions. I look forward to working closely with you, and to learning more about your challenges in the market.

After graduating as dr.ing. from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim in 1990, I started my career in the research organisation SINTEF. In the next phase of my career, I had an entrepreneurial role heading up a software company that was a spin-off from SINTEF. That was a great learning experience on how to market and sell software products in an international market. Then prior to joining DNV Software, I spent four years in the largest telecom company in Norway.

DNV Software would like to be part of your success in the market, by providing the right software solutions and products. Our success is dependent on a strong relationship with our customers, and we will listen to customer needs to make sure we are delivering value to you through ‘Best Engineering Practice’.

I would like to thank Øystein Goksøyr for his excellent contribution as the previous editor of Software News. I am proud to have him on my team as the Regional Manager for Greater China.
