Purpose

The package cover in-place, installation, transportation, accidental conditions and operational aspects for typically semi-submersibles, spar buoys, tension leg platforms, barges, floating terminals and off-loading buoys. The environmental conditions (waves, current, mooring, risers), ballasting and equipment are seamlessly included to create loading conditions for code compliance or fatigue assessment.

Benefits

This package enables the engineers to perform hydrostatic analysis and check against stability criteria as defined by statutory rules, hydrodynamic analysis to find worst response conditions to be used in mooring analysis or structural strength analysis. For all analysis tasks the same concept model is used with different analysis representations (panel model and finite element model).

Features

The main tools in this package are DeepC, GeniE and HydroD to perform the various tasks. Depending on type of analysis to be performed, these tools are supported by functionality as provided by other Sesam programs.

The package is supported by a workflow modelling tool, Brix Explorer, that comes with predefined templates for relevant analysis tasks and allows engineers to make their own templates to capture best engineering practices.
