Installjac - a state of the art time domain program that performs an accurate simulation of the installation process of an offshore steel-piled jacket. Both the launch and up-ending scenarios are accounted for.

Installjac is a simulation program that performs an evaluation of the installation, launch and up-ending of an offshore steel-piled jacket. Installjac provides a comprehensive assessment of the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic properties of the jacket during the installation procedure. Using a computer model, rather than a scale model, saves time and gets more accurate results because the parameters are easier to change and scaling effects are avoided. Installjac incorporates both accuracy and usefulness.
Installjac analyses the following jacket operations:
- Launching from barge
- Floating stability
- Up-ending
Installjac can be used throughout the entire process of designing and installing offshore steel-piled jackets. If you model your structure using the Sesam preprocessor GeniE, you can feed that data into Installjac to analyze the launch of the jacket off a barge. Then you use your results as input to the Sesam analysis program Sestra to study member loads and to ensure that you can launch the jacket without exceeding any stress utilization limits. After launching, you can use Installjac to perform complete up-ending sequence analyses.
