Asset efficiency performance forecasting is an effective methodology to quantify future production performance by identifying potential losses and bottlenecks through discrete event simulation.

Performance Forecasting

is a form of process reliability, maintainability and availability analysis where the future life of an asset is simulated in order to quantify the expected performance. A virtual model of the asset is built in the application which includes all relevant production related variables. The main inputs relate to equipment reliability and configuration, maintenance strategies and operational flexibility and constraints. The results from the analysis will show the users the production volume to expect over the system’s life-time and identify the main contributors to production losses. This information is used to optimise asset configuration, identify the most efficient design among different alternatives and to provide decision support where there are significant production related uncertainties.

The analysis is a discrete event simulation based on Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) methodology.
