30 delegates from 5 different divisions of SINOPEC recently received a Safeti software application advanced training in Beijing. Moreover, DNV has won a new software contract with Shengli oilfield, SINOPEC, followed by a Safeti software product training to Shengli.
SINOPEC is China’s largest state-owned energy and chemical company. Their business includes upstream, midstream and downstream operations. It is China’s largest producer and supplier of oil products and petrochemical products and is the 2nd largest crude oil producer.
DNV Software began building the relationship with SINOPEC in 2000 culminating in their purchasing Neptune software in 2002 followed by Phast Risk in 2003. This cooperation was consolidated in 2006 by signing a 300 thousand USD software contract successfully between two parties.
In 2007 we continued building a strong relationship with SINOPEC, with standard product training focusing on introducing users to basic software functionality. The Safeti QRA training, which gives attendees a better understanding on how to use the software in practice, were also very well received by the users from SINOPEC.
This year the relationship between SINOPEC and DNV has entered a new stage. Accompanied by Irene Liu, Safeti Support Engineer from the DNV Software Shanghai office, risk engineers Mr Luo Song and Mr Xi Jun from DNV Energy, gave the delegation of 30 from SINOPEC a 5 day training on the Safeti software application. The training concentrated on examples in real projects, from data analysis to model establishment in Safeti. The attendees gave very positive feedback on their benefit from the course and they hoped for more training in the future.
Moreover, DNV signed a new software contract with Shengli oilfield, SINOPEC, followed by a successful basic training course delivered by Irene Liu. Shengli is also interested in other DNV Software products.
