Managing Director Elling Rishoff’s keynote outlined the DNV Software strategy, and our latest innovation in product development as a "gift" to our customers. In addition he described our Branding Architecture as the new delivery model for DNV Software.

Prior to the conference, we arranged a presentation technique workshop with DNV Learning to make our presentations even better. That worked out well, and the quality of this year’s presentations was very high. In addition, we succeeded in getting external speakers to contribute both in the common session and in the parallel tracks. Terje Brevik from Statoil and Terje Nymoen from Aker Kvaerner presented project execution and design of the Gjøa Semisubmersible platform, where KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering) was essential. Iain Light from DNV had an inspiring presentation about Managing Risk.

In the Nauticus track, Øyvind Kamsvåg from Ulstein Design presented the innovation and realisation of the new X-Bow offshore vessel design. In the Sesam track, Kåre Syvertsen from Sevan Marine presented the story about the cylindrical FPSO and Marco Calza and Fabio Parmigiani from Technomare presented their use of Sesam. In the Safeti track, Lars Petter Gundersen from DNV presented their use of Phast for Risk Assesment of Melkeøya.

The second day of the conference we arranged workshops to give the users more in-depth knowledge and understanding of our latest product innovations. The workshops and training sessions addressed subjects within design of process plants, marine- and offshore structures.
