DNV-CIBIT has established an office in Dublin

Following a second contract to support the creation of a KM strategy in Ireland and an increasing interest in knowledge management in both the public and private sectors, DNV-CIBIT has established an office in Dublin.

Knowledge based economy
The Irish economy has been successful for several years now and there is an increasing emphasis on the establishment of a knowledge-based economy, with less reliance on manufacturing. In the public sector there is a policy of modernisation of public services and the need to mange public sector resources more effectively.

Co-sponsored with Parallel

This has helped to raise the profile of knowledge management and around 30 people attended a recent briefing event that DNV-CIBIT co-sponsored with Parallel. Coupled with the Government's policy of getting public bodies to move outside of Dublin, there is an interest in how to create and manage corporate memories and to organise activities that support the retention of knowledge.
