The new EMC directive
The new EMC directive was implemented some time ago, but did you know that the transitional period for declaring conformity towards the old directive ended on July 20th 2009?
The new Machinery Directive
29 December 2009 the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC has expired and superseded by 2006/42/EC. There is no transitional period. The scope, the formal and the essential health and safety requirements have been modified. Validity of the type examination certificates according to 98/37/EC has automatically ceased and cannot be referred to when putting the machinery, lifting equipment or safety components on the market within the European Economic Area."
