The TL9000 quality management system requirements handbook and the TL9000 quality management system measurements handbook were prepared by the global members of the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Forum.
QuEST Forum helps its member organisations pursue global telecommunications quality and performance excellence through the implementation of a common quality standard, the collaborative activities of its global work groups, an emphasis on industry best practices, and the delivery of a leading-edge measurement system.
A TL9000 certificate proves that your quality management system has been measured against the standard and found compliant. Issued by a third party certification body/registrar, the certificate lets customers know they can trust that you are actively implementing the applicable requirements of the handbooks for your company’s processes, products, and services.
Structure of the handbooks
TL9000 provides a telecommunications specific set of requirements built on ISO 9001:2000. TL9000 is structured in layers:
International Standard ISO 9001:2000.
Common TL9000 requirements.
Hardware, software, and service specific quality management system requirments.
Common TL9000 measurements, and
Hardware, software, and service specific quality management system measurements.
Where do I go from here?
For third party certification, you need to implement an effective quality management system complying with the requirements of the handbooks. The first step is to get on the road to certification.
