With a long and proven track record, msm² provides leaders and supervisors with practical tools and techniques for risk management.

The msm² course provides the participant with an understanding of essential risk management concepts and techniques to enhance health, safety, environmental and business performance.

msm² is the new version of Modern Safety Management, DNV’s flagship health and safety management foundation course for more than 20 years.

On completion of msm² the participant will:

• Understand the processes and activities that have proven effective for managing risks and improving performance
• Be able to apply fundamental concepts and tools to design and implement an effective risk management system
• Be able to apply practical tools for risk identification, evaluation and control
• Know how to apply behaviour management techniques
• Be more effective leaders in the continual improvement of health, safety, environmental and business performance.

The course is available in 3 formats:

1) msm²: Risk leadership (2 days)
The foundation course. It is the smallest version of the msm² course. This course won’t cover all the topics but just the main ones in order to provide to leaders and supervisors the main principles and concepts.

2) msm²: Building risk competence (4.5 days)
It is the foundation, which aims to build risk competence by principles and concepts of the SHEQ risk management and loss prevention. This course will cover all topics.

3) msm²: Building risk competence (3 days)
It is the foundation, which aims to build risk competence by principles and concepts of the SHEQ risk management and loss prevention. This course will cover all risk leadership format topics and in addition other topics in relation to the client needs.
