DNV has received the Norwegian American Trade Award for 2006. The award was presented to CEO Henrik O. Madsen by Oivind Lorentzen, who is a member of the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) National Board of Directors.

DNV has maintained a presence in New York since 1868. Through its vision of safeguarding life, property and the environment, and by supporting important industries and ultimately affecting the lives of end-users, DNV has achieved wide respect in the US.

“I can think of no company that better represents what Norway stands for in the protection of life, property and the environment,” stated Oivind Lorentzen.

The Norwegian American Trade Award is presented by the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce as a symbol of excellence to a Norwegian-related company that has demonstrated extraordinary courage and success in business.
