DNV’s Echelon unveils new IT testing facility to help product manufacturers meet compulsory demands.

Echelon Consulting Ltd, the UK security specialist acquired by DNV and holder of information security standard: BS7799 and quality standard: ISO9001, has launched a new, comprehensive testing facility for information technology products and services.

The announcement came as the UK Cabinet Office demanded that all security products and services sold to Government departments must, at the very least, have a CSIA Claims Tested Mark (CCTM).

Echelon’s new service will include a CommerciaL Evaluation Facility (CLEF). It will help manufacturers meet Government requirements and other security criteria which are increasingly being demanded by industry and commerce.
