“The Shtokman gas field in the Barents Sea, the North European gas pipeline, Sakhalin projects, and various fields in the Caspian Sea are challenging future offshore projects to which DNV wishes to contribute,” says Nils Andreas Masvie, DNV’s regional manager for oil and gas services in Eurasia.

“DNV’s goal is to contribute actively to the rapid developments now taking place in the oil and gas sectors in these two countries,” says Masvie. “We are particularly interested in serving our clients in difficult offshore projects.”

DNV’s Pipeline Rules were used when Gazprom, together with ENI, constructed the Blue Stream gas pipeline across the Black Sea a few years ago.
