The EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) has initiated an inspection of the Foundation Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

ESA performs the inspection at DNV’s head office in Oslo based on information of possible cooperation among IACS members to limit the competition among classification societies.

“We are not concerned, and cooperate fully with the inspection team from ESA”, says Tore Høifødt, Head of Corporate Communications at DNV.
