Atotech Taiwan is a subsidiary of the Atotech Group with head office in Berlin, Germany. Atotech is part of the chemical branch of TOTAL and the world’s leading supplier of chemistry and equipment to the print circuit board (PCB) and electroplating industry.

Atotech Taiwan started implementation of ISRS in early 2005 after being certified according to ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS-18001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. After one and half year efforts, it has achieved level 7 of ISRS and received certificate from DNV.

“It’s a great achievement,” said Andy Huang, Managing Director of Atotech Taiwan at the ISRS certification awarding and celebration event, “we were only at level 4 according to the baseline study when we started introducing ISRS in early 2005. It’s a great leap forward for us to improve from level 4 to level 7 within only one and half years.”

At the event Mr. Huang emphasized the importance of ISRS for a company to improve its management level. “ISRS is the highest and reputable system regarding safety management.” He commented.

Mr. Huang also highly appraised DNV’s role in building the system within his company. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nasa Chen and the Lead Auditor Tim Kuo for their professional service offered within the past one and half years.” He added.

Thomas Vogth-Eriksen, Director of Operations for DNV Industry Asia & Australia attended the event and presented the certificate to Mr. Huang. He emphasized that the main reason for the achievement of reaching level 7 is due to the attitudes, commitment and dedication from the Atotech management and staff in Taiwan to continuous improvement, and he added: “ You can all be proud of what you have achieved, and this certificate will hopefully serve as a motivator to even strive for further excellence.”

Atotech Taiwan’s key suppliers and customers, some relevant government officials were also present at the celebration event.
