DNV Risk Management Solutions releases the risk assessment software SAFETI & PHAST version 6.4. with improvements to the user interface, consequence and risk calculations. These software packages are widely used, particularly in the downstream oil and gas industries.

Following requests from the worldwide user base, many items have been changed to improve ease of use or manipulation of results. For example, spreadsheet input has been included to decrease the time and effort involved in entering data, and production of reports and graphs has been simplified. In addition, the ability to customise graphs has been greatly improved.

Modelling has also been enhanced in various areas, with particular emphasis on improvements which increase compliance with legislation. Examples of this are the more widespread use of indoor calculations, as prescribed by many governments in temperate countries, and the calculation of risk to specified dangerous dose levels, as required by the UK government.
