Evergreen+certified+to+ISO+9001

DNV Taiwan has awarded Evergreen the ISO 9001:2000 certificate. Evergreen Marine Corp is one of the largest container shipping groups in the world. The Evergreen group’s fleets have around 150 container ships totalling over 400,000 TEU.

DNV has previously certified Evergreen's Seafarer Training & Simulator Centres in accordance with DNVs rules for Classification of Maritime Training Centres and the standard for certification of Maritime Simulators Systems and ISO 9001 standards.

In a statement Evergreens president Arnold Wang says, "Evergreen is delighted to have been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate and I would like to thank DNV for working with us to achieve this. Evergreen is committed to providing quality services to its customers, as well as to operating safe and environmentally responsible transportation services. While achievements such as the ISO certification show us that we are working in the right direction, we believe that the commitment to quality and safety is an ongoing one and we will therefore continue in our quest to find ways to improve our services."

DNVs Regional Manager, Executive Vice President Ole-Andreas Hafnor, handed over the certificate to Evergreen's president Arnold Wang at a ceremony held in Evergreen's headquarters at Taipei. Mr. Kuo, Chairman, and Mr. Loh, Standing Adviser of Evergreen Marine together with 140 Evergreen managers participated at the ceremony.
