The Libyan Oil Company Zueitina is making use of DNV’s knowledge of asset operations to review the operation of several 30 year old plants.

The Zueitina Oil Company’s 103D oil separation system.
DNV will review the current status of the plants regarding safety and economic performance, covering pressure integrity and plant availability. The assessment will cover the process, utilities and safeguarding systems, as well as the effectiveness of management systems for maintenance, inspection, safety, and plant operations. These will be compared with current best-practice as described in performance standards developed by DNV, and with work done for the recent Technical Safety projects for Statoil, Norsk Hydro and Phillips Petroleum in Norway.
The significance of deficiencies as relevant to Zueitinas operations will be assessed using risk-based methods, and appropriate risk-management solutions proposed.
