DNV has a network of 300 offices in about 100 countries, and more than 10,000 employees worldwide. From March 2012, DNV changed its internal organisation into a group structure with three separate companies:

• DNV Maritime and Oil & Gas (Headquartered in Oslo, Norway)

• DNV Business Assurance (Headquartered in Milano, Italy)

• DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability (Headquartered in Arnhem, The Netherlands).

In addition, DNV Maritime and Oil & Gas operates two independent business units: DNV Petroleum Services (DNVPS) and DNV Software.

DNV Group is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Each of the companies has an organisational structure with geographical divisions covering all continents. DNV invests 6-7% of annual revenue into research and development, some of which is carried out by DNV’s Research and Innovation department. Projects and programmes conducted by Research and Innovation have contributed to building many of DNV’s key industry positions and support all companies in the group.
