The Emergency Response Service of DNV maintains duty team of experts available 24 hours a day and whole round the year with dedicated communication lines. The necessary back-up is arranged in order to provide uninterrupted service.

ERS assistance is initiated by a call to the dedicated telephones, which will initiate mobilization of the duty team. Our experts will attend the ERS duty room in the Head Office and will provide the first assessments within 2 hours. The most convenient ways for communication and reporting to the vessel and company will also be agreed. Duty team has the possibility to call in additional nominated experts from the specialised DNV departments, whenever special consideration is necessary.

The team will remain available until the condition of the vessel is fully assessed and confidence is built about the condition. After the safety of the vessel and crew are confirmed, the duty team will demobilize, but will remain available for re-activation of the ERS.
