DNV SeaSkill™ provides Certification of Learning Programmes to training providers as the basis for developing training courses and programmes

Certification of Learning Programmes ensures that training courses/programmes offered:

  • Are properly designed
  • Contain clear objectives for results
  • Are carried out by qualified trainers
  • Are assessed and improved in line with market demands and experience
It also ensures that the required equipment and facilities for the training course/programme are available and that the content of the training course/programme meets the requirements stipulated in an agreed industry standard (e.g. IMO model course).

Training Providers that offer a training course/programme in compliance with the DNV Standard for Certification No. 3.201 Learning Programmes and relevant industry content standards receive a DNV learning programme certificate.
