Plan approval

We approve design documentation of the electrical installations. This includes, but is not limited to, verification of:

• AC and DC power consumption balance.
• Overall single line diagram.
• Single line diagrams for switchboards.
• Short circuit calculations.
• Discrimination analysis.
• Electrical installations in hazardous areas.
• Etc.

Additional class notations may extend the scope of approval.

Site survey

A site survey is performed as a part of the classification process, and focuses on the installation on board as well as on the functionality of the electrical systems.

The site inspections are performed in order to evaluate that:

• The electrical installation is in accordance with approved documentation.
• The electrical installation is in accordance with the requirements of the rules.
• The craftsmanship is acceptable.

Functional testing verifies the installation in respect to DNV regulations and approved documentation.
