Class notation for single point moorings
To have specific requirements for vessels fitted with equipment enabling them to be moored to single point moorings. The requirements cover the parts of OCIMF's (Oil Companies' International Marine Forum) "Recommendations for Equipment Employed in the Mooring of Ships at Single Point Moorings" that are applicable to the vessel.

This additional class notation covers specific requirements as to materials, arrangements and general design as appropriate for single point moorings. The arrangement and capacity is depends on the ship size measured in deadweight tons.
Approval is carried out at the responsible approval centre. The site survey is carried out at the building yard and its suppliers. A periodical survey is carried out on board the vessel.
